Ok, after much highly valued support from Dave, Brian and Techy, I have started serious work on the repaints. SO far I have anti-flash whites done, as you can see below. THe major problem I have encountered is the tex mapping recycling issue - namely on the bomb bay doors, engine nacelles and flap areas, which share the same texture. This makes it a) hard to shadow them correctly and b) I cannot weather these areas properly. Henceforth, you will see areas that look too clean, or too dark against the rest of the skin. Bu**er. Nevetheless, it is what it is, so I am proceeding regardless for the fun of it. Techy has expressed interest in getting involved, so between us I think we will do some high speed silvers and camo birds before closing the book on this.

Here's the work so far (using Graham's lovely new AI traffic at Wyton - cheers very much for that Graham! )

Cheers Dave, not some of my best, but not too bad either. I'll put these up on the Pond soon.

Thanks mate, lol, they aren't really bad but given the nature of the mapping, I wasn't able to put as much detail in, but then, that's a minor gripe! That will teach me to review the tex mapping a little closer before starting work in future (a problem I think you had with the Bucc as well?). Anyway, my next projects should be Ted Cook's Brigand and Hampden, so at some point I will need to review the mapping as well. This is all assuming Paul Foster's Canberras don't come in for a while

Just finished another repaint - this time it's WB215- the second B.1 prototype in her high-speed silver finish. Uploading soon I promise!
