Knew it was Portsdown Hill but couldn't remember the name of the establishment there. There's always been a radar of some description up there.. for donkey's anyway
The folk now in charge (Qinetiq) were not in existance to the best of my knowledge. It used to belong to AWRE or ASWE so it was either of these two followed by Portsdown

ASWE (as was) stood for Admiralty Surface Weapons Establishment so I guess it was probably that when I left in '89. AWRE was.. I think, Admiralty Weapons Research Establishment so it may have been that :roll: DSTL is a new one on me :roll:
