O.K. sorry about that...The Demo has been adjusted to behave like the Gold version in that respect. I'm using Beta3 which does require the above adjustment. So basically you can ignore everything I said. I had been led to believe that Beta3 and the Demo were the same build, but this is obviously not so. :roll:Garry Russell wrote:Hi Dave G
All the types I have tried in the demo have had VC's as normal
So it looks like the demo is different in that respect.

Chris, I hated flying in the VC in FS9 and with the "Head Latency Feature" FSX is even worse.cstorey wrote:Peter : be adventurous - the VC is actually very nice to fly, and you can position yourself ideally for landing with the seat high up and suitable zoom. Also, the right hand seat view is very pleasant for a change - it will take you back more than 30 years!
You try it again in turbulence and see how difficult it is to click things
I love the 2D panels and the instant snap views to left, right and diagonals...Far more realistic than panning. The instruments themselves are far superior and smoother operating in 2D.
The bits of VC that I like and use are the forward diagonal views and I bring those into my 2D cockpit...The full VC is just a pleasing novelty that I like to use in Replays from the "Recorder Module" by Matthias Neusinger (I'm delighted to have this in FSX now  )
BTW...I used the Recorder Module to make that sequence of screenshots...Naturally Matthias does not make the unique Trident autopilot control switches work in the Playback, but they are all still clickable and I just click them as if I am flying it again and all the lights and indicators respond correctly. I made just one mistake...I forgot to do the Recording with the Trident lights on, so I can't realistically use the playback at dusk, night or dawn.
I will make the recording again with the lights on this time...In fact I recommend to anyone using this module to ALWAYS record with the lights on...You won't notice it in daylight but then you can playback at night
