I guess you're right there John. according to their web site http://www.admtl.com/corporate_info.aspx?id=83 they where THE airport at the time....Mirabel came first into business in 1975...so ..by mere excluding, it is Montréal-Dorval we are talking about. The flight plan only mentions Montreal....but since it is from 68.....

Btw. In my book of BA -history there is a flight-schedule illustration that indicates routes to Toronto also. This should be in 1969, and type of aircraft is not mentioned....so the only one I'm really sure about is the one I just posted.

Dan - I've sent you an email regarding BOAC routes in 1973.

Although I don't have experience of 1968, by 1972 we were using B707-436 aircraft to Toronto. And I can confirm Dorval as the airport for Montreal. Apart from LHR there was a daily Manchester - Prestwick - Montreal - Toronto and return (707 - 436).

There was a route to Ottawa briefly in the 70s (707) but it didn't last long as nobody wanted to go there.

I found this little scrap of information at http://www.bamuseum.com/museumhistory60-70.html

1965

BOAC inaugurated services by Super VC-10 on 1 April; G-ASGD operated the inaugural flight from London to New York, continuing to San Francisco.

I am still looking for schedules to confirm this, I hope some of the local aviation museums will have some BOAC schedules, I already checked the one at SFO and they did not.
