Pilot and crew were probably looking at redundancy, but are potentially even less attractive to other employers now.
There's a couple of other clips of this on youtube and they did overfly the whole terminal at very low altitude. Can't help but think of Tom Cruise; "Goose, it's time to buzz the tower". They weren't flying an A330 full of pax though

On top of that they can be fired for misconduct rather than getting what ever settlement is offered.
