:lol: Judging by the way Cunard wrote the date (Tuesday, September 8th, 1914) I'd assume this menu was meant to be read by American passengers. Maybe a west-bound Atlantic crossing? :dunno: Anything French sounding would appeal to many Americans at that time. :lol: Me included...if I was around back then :$

Yes Brian, but what I was getting at, was the number of descriptions in French language, followed by "French Ice Cream" written in English.
It seemed incongruously amusing. Simple things please simple minds!
