Here's a strange one for you...
Something disagreed with my AICarriers a while back.. can't remember exactly what it was now but it was an update of some sort.. yes.. ASN of all things

Having rebuilt my AICarriers (to some degree).. I thought I'd flash RFN4.1 up as I was tired of searching for a particular carrier for an hour. Landing with 2% fuel remaining was a little too close to call

Anywho.. mit functioning gauge, I set off to find the carrier Charles de Gaulle.. well.. that was the intention. As I started tuning the gauge to pull X47 (CDG's Tacan), a series of error boxes came up stating:
cGaugeSoundClass
Facility 0
Error ID 3
Full Error Code 0x3
Location 5
File ./Missions/Military/CarrierPractice/Sound/CarrierPractice_21.wav

The other errors differed in that they called for different wav files. NEVER had this happen before on any install be it Win7 or WinXP

Having done all this.. the burning question remains.. where the hell did my Missions folder go to? I don't go around deleting default folders even if I never use them but it wasn't there.. not even empty. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have done this? I swear also that I had a 'Search' option on the RH side of the 'Start' window (near Help and Support ala WinXP) but I now see Search for programs and files in a window at the bottom LH side of the Start window. This looks natural enough so I may be having a 'Silver moment' as far as this is concerned

Is it possible that uninstalling a model that has included missions has also removed the Missions folder? This seems the only logical explanation I can come up with. While it sounds unlikely, I know that some users of the AH Swift had stuff go missing if it was uninstalled in a particular way (eg.. the way you'd expect to uninstall it!!) and there have been 2 updates to their Grumman F3F which has required the previous version to be uninstalled prior to the update (which was, in effect, a full version). The only other model I've had to uninstall has been the Milviz P-38L as it's 'update' was a full version. Can't imagine Milviz having an uninstaller do something so poop. It's got me beat
