I now know that DLC is downloadable content so you would download that software but what would you do with the 'Main' edition? Virtavia stuff comes in these 2 flavours.. plus the rest of course?
Hmmm...no idea, unless its Virtavia selling via the normal outlets outside Steam ( Flightsim Store, SimMarket etc )
and via Steam too. I know that with some things, if you buy them outside Steam, you don't register them with Steam..you register them in the usual way. With Dovetail's FSX, even though its purchased through Steam, you can install add-ons that are not purchased through Steam- Orbx, PMDG, Captain Sim, Virtavia etc. If Virtavia is
also selling via Steam, maybe that's the difference. And if you can follow all that, I take my hat off to you.
All the add-ons I have for my Steam-purchased games - Total War series, ARMA 2 and 3, etc - have also come via Steam. So I've never noticed that there are differing versions.
