I picked up the Anson last night. Good collection of models, and very nicely done. There are a couple of bits that could be a little better / different, mostly the VC textures seem a bit "flat" IMHO, but they are minor issues and overall it's an excellent package and well worth the money.

Yup.. that's pretty much how I see it Dave. Were he a little more adept with the brush, the package would edge toward outstanding :cpu:

Haven't looked at the textures yet, but I wonder how easy they may be to "enhance". *-)
It's not a real problem though. It's a great package as it is. Only tried a couple of the models so far. No nasty surprises this time!

I agree that some of the textures could be a tiny bit better. With G-AHKX, Old Warden's C.19, the fuselage blue is darker and more vivid than in real life, I think. There are similar problems with some of the Hudsons. What is it.. saturation ? Luminosity maybe ? Can such things be toned down with an adjustment layer ?

EDIT: By the way chaps, I've collected a number of Anson photos over the last couple of years, and they might help with any repaints. Unfortunately, the repaints will have to be in black and white for the most part, but they may assist in laying out things. There are some colour ones, including aircraft assigned to specific RAF stations - Coningsby and Scampton for example. I assume they were station hacks. Also one designated Headquarters No.1 Group, in colour. I'll include the folders of the Duxford and Old Warden aircraft that I took for Simon and Francois - a lot of close-ups of the aircraft details. Anyone want ? :)

I have a fair few of the ex-Air Atlantique T21 WD413/G-VROE but they may be more cockpit than external. A repaint for her should be easy.. silver with yellow stripes :) EDIT: oh.. and blue spinners

Y'know Dave.. the first thing I thought when I jumped inside was how much better it'd have looked had you painted it  I'm going to forward a motion stating that you should paint EVERYTHING in flightsim

Paul.. yes, the Hudson is a bit vivid isn't it B-)

Talking of colours in general, Since my son gave me another monitor, I have now two, but both different ratio & both different makes & I think technologies.
My original a IIYAMA about 11 years old is my favourite as I find the other one a HANNS.G HW191D has a very yellow green that so far I have found impossible to match to the other, it is also not as bright & whites are more subdued, so interesting in ones perception of colour when chosen by another creator.

By the way, for those who have the Anson, is the elevator trim wheel animation reversed ? Shouldn't it rotate backwards to elevate the nose ? This one is the other way round.
The brakes are a bit sharp too - I've almost nosed over several times. I'm sure there's a way to adjust this in the config. *-)
