There's this repaint over at All-Nodes, which maybe a good place to start.

Don't worry Dave, I'm sure I'll find something for you to do. Is there a current FSX native bubble top Cranberry?

I've seen very little for the native FSX model.. everyone must be lobbing the FS9 paints on and hoping for the best  I had to change the alpha channel on that paint of Frasers as it was causing the maps to show black 'in sim' but otherwise, it went straight on :)

Are the FS9 ones ok in FSX? I seem to remember some problems when I pulled it from 9 into X years ago, but haven't looked at it since. I found a photo recently of an air display of some sort at Bedford years ago, with no less than 11 different Canberras and not tear drop canopy in sight

Does anyone know if the Virtavia FSX cranberry is the same as the old Alphasim one or was the model updated? Conscious time is running out on the sale, but if its the same model I already have it. *-)

[EDIT] I'm pretty sure it is so just bought it from PC Aviator as it was $12 which worked out at £7 something of her Majesty's finest.

Slight thread hijack - if you can get your hands on Rescue 177 or Burning and Turning by James A. Begg they are cracking reads re Prestwick SAR.

I now return you to our normal programming.

Ben.. sri, work got in the way. Yes.. that paint I jobbed of Frasers and the one DG showed are FS9 paints. The alpha on Frasers paint looked near black and this reflected in FSX with black maps  So.. I flipped em, changed the alpha and saved em as .dds. No point leaving them as bmp's as I was fiddling anyway :)
