Problem sorted!!!
It was as you thought Ben, the screensaver.
In Win 7 it is so easily missed and I missed it
For your info it was set at 1 minute!!

After Ben posted the bit about the sceensaver I did wonder if that was a problem, but as I don't have a screensaver selected I could not be certain!
