Have got into the user accounts but still unable to get rid of the computer doing this, BTW it is not locked as such i.e. no password required but still comes on and have to click it to get back to the screen and also whilst on take-off in FSX the lock came on and had to click to get back to flying. Screen Saver is off as is power save and sleep mode.

oh that sounds odd! Could be an policy setting or somthing on the power settings pages, could you list the settings or even better print screen them? Sounds like a timeout is causing the locked account screen.

Did the screen go off at that time in FSX, and how long was you in flight for?
Does it seem to be a regular time lenght between account locking?

Its the screensaver settings chaps. By default if the screen is idle for a period of time it will lock the screen. Go to the screensaver settings and possibly the power settings too and change the settings to stop it locking the screen.

Thanks for the link George but unfortunately that is another site that IT have blocked!!

Thanks Ben I think that might be one area that I have ignored even though I went through every thing I could think of including power save options.

Will give that a try and report back tomorrow night.

Thanks for that Ben, nothing more frustrating than loading up for a flight and just before it gets to 100% the screen goes!!

Chris, sorry for some reason just missed your post, when the screen goes I am left with an icon with my name (administrator) and it says underneath Nigel Locked just as though I had set up some sort of security setting so when the computer is left idle it goes into this mode (just as it would do in any office that is intranet based.

Never had this before.

Nigel, daft question, but how long before it locks the screen? It shouldn't lock it if there has been keyboard or mouse input, only if its been left sitting idle.

Ben, when I click fly now and wait for the sim to load, if I do not touch the mouse or keyboard whilst loading the computer screen will go black then the icon appears, only way to prevent this is to occassionally move the mouse. I have not timed it but around a minute?

Fair enough mate, definitely sounds like the screen saver or the power settings. 1 minutes a bit on the short side. As a test you could just switch the screen saver off altogether.
