The only 748 flight I ever had was Southampton Guernsey and return
8,000 South...7,000 North

Unfortunately they were niether long legged or fast. A trip back from RAF Nicosia in a 780 went like this:
Day 1
Souda Bay (Crete) fuel stop
Naples overnight stop
Day 2
Istres (France) fuel stop and lunch
Thorney Island home late afternoon
Every so often 46sqn would fly one back from Masirah for maintenance and it took days to get it back.
