Ooh! It's got more gadgets. Amazing what you can find when you read manuals, isn't it? :worried:

I read somewhere that the B-52 won't be retired until 2040 which will make it 78 years since it first flew! Are the RAF being a bit premature retiring the VC10s?

Ian :)

I noticed you haven't got on (not essential but authentic and it does follow the terrain) the EVS monitor green screen in front of both pilots. Green light button on the left turns it on, top right dial does brightness.

Well, this thread's brought out all the closet bombers hasn't it? Now we know who loves the smell of napalm in the morning!

Thanks for pointing out the EVS switch, Darren. I was wondering where that was. I don't suppose there's any HE ordnance tucked away perchance? :worried:

Seems a shame to have so much 'corrective' power at one's fingertips and no way to bring those damn commies in to line!

Ian

No ordnance included, I think that's what they created FSX Weapon.

I turned crash detection off and I ploughed through the motorway and went quite some way into the fields before it started to go up
Even with next to no fuel in the tanks and more flap than necessary???? I got her up...

I only tried with everything default, I might have another go with less fuel then. It wasn't a serious attempt :)

However they do say the real thing can't be flown out (with fuel to go anywhere then I would presume). So it would depend on how much fuel you had in and how far it could get you. Or might it be the length of runway you have, FSX default scenery or add-on Duxford, could they be different?
