Have you considered expanding this forum to include all British Flight Sim enthusiasts, not just MSFS?

Guy.

On a personal view mate....i am a solid MSFS from way back when....not sure if we have a big following of Xplane here..... :hide:

Sure someone will be along to sort this out... ;) Garry..?

I hope it doesn't mean you won't stop sharing with us though.... ;)

As far as I'm awar this forum is not exclusively MSFS but I don't know of anyone who flies X-plane.

It might become confusing if it was trying to cover both but the need has not arisen as MSFS gives us all we want.

In anycase we are a forum supporting freeware, althougth HU for payware is given and comments and discussions do take place were are really freeware support...but flexible. *-)

Guy this is one cracking model first attempt... I can't believe it, its superb, X-Plane has come alive with this, sadly I am stuck in my little time warp of FS9 so I will just have to enjoy the video, well done :)

My only real "gripe" with the model is the FS5-like engine spool up. Is this something you can fix within X-Plane or is it something you just have to "live with"? If not, I would really suggest getting the spool up to a more realistic time and performance because for having such an excellent semi-procedural panel (I only say "semi" because you have ganged some switches together so you don't have to flip them all, which I *LOVE*, but know there are some who would gripe in the FS world) it's the one real glaring failure.

Ah, well. There are ways to cheat, you know ...

:$ Sorry Guy, hope i didn't sound to critical. I am actually very very impressed with the model. My first reaction though was that someone must have spent a very long time trying to replicate the cockpit almost 100% accurately. All very admirable, but quite possibly further than most flight sim fans would ever have enough patience to truly appreciate. Admittedly there's a few nutters here who would revel in being able to click all the buttons in the right order, but thats possibly because they are off their trolly here  :hide:

Very well done though. All only your work? I'd have given up well before now... I take my hat of to you

Hi Guy
I saw your videos on the DH Comet forum which I've followed for years. I was so taken aback by the detail I felt they should be seen on here.
I'm a long term MSFS user (Mr Maltby's Comet 4 being my default aircraft in FSX) but I'll certainly consider trying X-Plane if you release your Comet!

Do keep us informed
Chris

Hi Guys

Looks like a "Labour of Love" model inside
Hats off on all the working bits

I didn't think XPlane supports complex exteriors as well as FS and with that much procedural detail your gonna be too busy to look from outside anyway.
top job mate & for free too which is rare

Many of the XPlane payware i have seen is not good enough to be payware but this looks worthy even though it's free

Regards
Rick
