It's not MSFS but look at this!

A DH Comet enthusiast has been quietly building a Comet 4c for X-Plane. It's not finished yet but the detail is quite stunning!

2: Start engines

3: Taxi checks

4: Take off

5: Approach and landing

Mind you I'll stay faithful to DM's wonderful model of course

Boy-o-boy-o-boy :welldone:
That's excellent. I always understood that X-Plane scenery was pretty nominal, away from actual airports, but that looks darn good.
Thanks for the HU

Hi

As far as I am aware this is not going to be payware - the guy seems to be doing it for himself.
Cheers

X-Plane 9.0 is currently going for just $29.00 USD. Tempting to get it just to fly this Comet. *-) Looks like the X-Plane 9.0 demo will give us 10 minutes with the Comet for free. :) http://www.x-plane.com/pg_downloads.html

Seriously Brian??

The model is not that good.....dubious looking suspension....low poly in places

Poor texturing (doors don't even line up) and old fashioned representation of panel lines, no glass, no pilots from the outside, terrible intake representation and why are there strobes??

I realise this is still WIP and very good for Xplane but still well below MSFS (for free) standard

Sorry to disagree with the rest of you, and apologies for seeming harsh, but being paywhere it deserves to be judged on it's authenticity. :hide:

I honestly think that anyone buying this will be disappointed.

OK.....going to look for somewhere to hide *-) ....I've heard there's an empty mine shaft somewhere in Chile I think :worried:

Just to restate Garry - it isn't payware but the topic was moved here by mistake.

Cheers

2 days ago Thanks! To answer your questions: it's still in development, but getting near the end now (as the films show). It will be payware.

In any case the CBFS forum is for support on our own in house models.....which this is not ;)
