I soon got used to them and found the 200 and the 707 and early DC 8 and Convairs, the engines look far too small

In the good old days (1995 to be precise) when you could visit flightdecks,I was talking to the crew on the flightdeck of a Britannia 767-200 en route to Australia. The captain, who had been with the airline for some years, said that they had referred to their 737-200s as Scuds !

Yes and no.. though I'm sure you know what I meant
Garry.. re the first 737 in BA livery.
Might it be PH-TVD?? This like all the other Transavia was wet leased but it was flown, as far as I can tell, in BA livery (9/78) ... a month before TVE. The others flew in Transavia with 'stickers'. This is the earliest BA flown/non-BA ordered 732 I can find

Hi Dave
I know what you menat
it was Darrens post pointing out 'TVI
'TVD is the earliest I know of in BA livery..as mentioned earlier there is a pic dated Sept 1977 which is a year before they supposedly had it, so manybe the photographe labled it years later and got mixed up
I'm sure it was TVD and then TVH and I'm not sure if any other Transavair flew in full livery???
Eric.yes...Flyer, that'll be it

Looks a great model, had a little search but can't find it. Is it freeware and available for download?

Re: Red Tail 236
I wish I could remember where the hell I found 'this' model now. As I said earlier, there are many out there (search Erick Cantu/Vistaliners/SGA/FFX) but it took some digging to find the right model for Ben Hartmann's paints. I 'presumed' HJG were hosting it as they're also hosting the 727 but that obviously isn't the case so I guess mine must have come from Allnodes.. that's were Ben's paints came from
If you have any difficulty Richard.. PM me. I'm sure Erick won't mind me expanding his empire albeit privately
Garry..
From what I have here.. only TVD and TVE were leased in BA livery 'initially'. TVH and TVI (also Transavia) were wet leased in Transavia livery.. TVH with 'BA on lease' tltles and TVI in Transavia livery with BA stickers. TVI was returned 8/78 and leased again in full BA 1/79 to 3/80.. this being 4months after TVD
