Some time ago I compiled a little booklet on this subject and I have now finished printing and distributing it to surviving squadron members. I have just made a Powerpoint slide show of the booklet and here is one of the 150 slides:-
The slideshow is mainly about people and places and many of the pictures have been shown on this site. However, for anyone who is interested, I have uploaded the presentation (100 MBs) and it can be downloaded from here:-
The download will take at least 5 minutes and you must have Microsoft's Powerpoint to view it...A free download of Powerpoint Viewer can be obtained here:-
I love those Peter! I remember the first time I flicked through your site as you experience the start of the jet age. This presentation is superb and makes me wish it was me! Thanks for sharing... again
Thanks Rick and Ben...I'm very pleased that you enjoyed it...This powerpoint thing is new to me and here on my machine it plays a very nice CD track with the first 20 or so slides. However, I have not yet discovered how to export the music with the presentation
I think the trick is to burn the CD track as an wma file and then embed that into the presentation rather than copy from CD. Might be worth a try
Ben,
That is exactly what I did and works just fine, but only on my machine...It does not seem to stick with the file when I copy it away to somewhere else...Hang on, I will upload the wma file into the same folder as the presentation and see if that works
