Re: Freeware RAF Valley/UKVFR prob
Its dead easy mate. Uninstall nhancer (its just a different front end to the nvidia control panel in reality) rename your fsx.cfg file, restart the sim, enable aa in the sim and use it windowed. This should work fine

Ben.

Cheers Tony..
Having just run FSX again on the new driver but without nhancer, it STILL locks the PC so after a fight, I'm back on the old one again. nhancer, for now, has been uninstalled
I knew this was going to be a bad idea.. I'm just annoyed I didn't listen to myself for once
Ah Ben.. you jumped in there while I was watching Randall and Hopkirk Deceased
I need to get the darned thing stable again then I'll consider having a fiddle.. or just play in FS9 which doesn't accelerate the onset of grey hair

Uninstall the new drivers too mate, reboot, reinstall the new driver, rename fsx.cfg, launch FSX enable aa, run in windowed mode, sorted

Ben.

Y e s..
Pity changing drivers isn't also simple! I'm back on the old driver with a remade cfg and it's just run for coming 3hrs. That'll do for now

Hello Mate..
Having done as described.. I started FSX.. changed as many of the settings I could remember back to how I use them.. then changed to DG's Auster and let it go. Had a nap.. 2 cups of coffee.. my dinner and it was still running. Funny how you can look at a map and there are airfields everywhere yet fly for 3hrs and not fly close to one
Pulled up FSCommander and found I was in deepest Southern Wales (from Exeter).. the nearest stop Pembrey some miles to the SW of me so I landed there and shut down.
I'm not convinced yet but a 3hr trip is a good sign.
This is on 18121 from 19621 and no settings changed in Nvidia Control Panel. I'm not changing it again as I don't have the patience to spend a day fault finding
Graham..
Thanks for looking at Valley. Your zip hasn't arrived yet but I'll check it out as soon as it does

Ker-ding!
Grahams file didn't sort the problem but I've got there eventually by scrolling down a-n-other thread on the Horizon forums. It seems that the author also uses UKFarms1 and 2 so his advice was to download these (I downloaded part 3 too just to be on the safe side). This has fixed the problem
