If not delivered they may have had another LN-OAT to replace it  :dunno:

Took me a minute to find it -- What Dreck!! At least I do not live in that kind of virtual world :(

reading the Eagle page seems more believeable - curious as to what came first - the chicken or the egg

It would seem the Halifax was painted red BEFORE Eagle had it - so prehaps this is where the colour for

their future paints came from -- As to the RAF building the Panniers for the Halifax?? All I know is legend

from talking to people who were there during the Berlin Airlift, Freddie had a habit of buying RAF surplus

and modifying them - The story I was told was He picked up a bunch of Halifax airframes (amongst others)

and ATEL converted them to Haltons by building the panniers and skylights. Also the photo of Bamberg and

Laker together during the Airlift was unique in as much as they were bitter rivals later. Also seems to me

that in all the Legends I heard growing up, Blackbushe (and its notroious railway across the runway) is

very often in them.

ATL may well have designed there own pannier for specific civil use.

I have no idea but aircraft I've seen pics of seemed to got there pretty standard and come out as Haltons.

Have tried to download the Halibag several times over the last few days. Keep getting a page error for it. Perhaps they have changed their minds about it being free. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, this seems likely but the dates still do not work for the LN-OAT reg to be used on another aircraft sent to Norway for Vingtor if the reason this one never went was because they ceased trading. I'm still in the "confused" category but maybe somebody, somewhere has a nice book with the history of every one built and all will be revealed.

I notice the readme with the free download comes with encouragement for repaints so I hope somebody is tempted to produce an Eagle one (as I think somebody suggested earlier). With no paint kit provided presumably it would be legit to modify LN-OAT so perhaps it wouldn't be a hard task at all?
