Hi Charlie Bravo
There IS a Fokker 50 out for FSX by VirtualCol but I'm not satisfied with this piece of software.
It's migrated from FS9 to FSX and has the FSX Bloom Effect to be switched off in order to see the aircraft at all in the sim.
Furthermore, I don't like the sounds and the 2D/3D cockpit.
I really regret buying this VirtualCol Fokker 50!
If you already have the Fokker 50 Project for FS9, better stick to that and don't fly the 50 in FSX.
Grtz.

Hi Unit,
Unfortunately I'm not a young lad anymore, I've been into Flightsim since the days of the Sinclair ZX81, I've seen every version of MSFS and I've had a hand in sim software development a few years back. I can certainly sympathise with your disappointment at the way things may have gone with project Fokker, but how many freeware developers/projects have been forced to go payware as complexity/time/effort has increased? To be honest I have no idea why any sane person would want to subject themselves to the torrent of abuse which seems to pervade large parts of the web these days by actually developing/releasing payware add-on aircraft, although there is some absolute trash out there which deserves to be slated, but that's another story.
No consolation, but I happen to be one very happy bunny at the moment - if I want to pole around the Caribbean I've got Rick's superb 748, if I want an FMC to play with I've got this wonderful Fokker. If they'd delayed another x months to provide a VC (and DA has been upfront on that score) a) they wouldn't have my money now b) I wouldn't be having so much fun now. FS9 has never been so good.

Just had a quick look at this and I think I'll stick with the Dreamwings model. I work with Fokker 50's every day and the model doesn't look all that accurate. Not bad for freeware but certainly not payware.
Many thanks,
Chris

Re: DA Fokker 100 is OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi V2-LCS, i glad your happy with it, i dont suspect for 1 minute the product is substandard it looks great the only thing that has irritated myself is the VC issue. and the vaugeness of Flight1 and DA to provide info on the release of the VC. Not being a FSX user myself im not to bothered on a personal level about FSX compatibility. But i am a anoyed that it is fronted as a FSX compatible model, which is contradicted by the fact it does not have a VC and is not DX10 compatable.
