Re: First taste of on-line flying
I think we should go for a private server Joe....too many joiners on Netwings......I can host and that way we won't have screen freezes when people join...?
Any interested then on the night i can post my IP....?
What do you reckon...?

He he...if this takes off (groan)....maybe we could do a weekly (or even twice weekly) 'fly-in' thing...Chippies one week, Rapide's another etc. etc.

Depending on the server, yes, you can get a private channel. If someone hosts the TS server (I've done it in the past but haven't attempted with my current internet setup so not sure if I can or not), then only those whom you give the IP to will have the IP and thus only those whom are participating will be on the server. If you choose to use a "public" server, some will allow you to register as a Channel Admin, create a channel, and close it to only those whom you bring in or give the password for the channel too.airboatr wrote:one thing about the choice of communication program
when using teamspeak , do you get a private channel so only the team here will
be privy to the conversation?

well hopfully well do a multisession where we all will be flying a different model.
we could do props from the chippie to the vanguards, and then suit up in the jets
that would make some nice screenies for the galllery, eh?
all the models homegrown here....

freeware ones so we keep it where every one can see eachother in FS.

Re: First taste of on-line flying
Just had my first ever Multiplayer session with a chap called Ferror at Meigs...Most enjoyable and he was very helpful. Interestingly he swapped to FSX mid session and we could both see each other fine...Meigs vanished for him though
