Would you be interested in posting this over at the Alphasim forums Peter? I know Dan produced this one as something of a labour of love and I'm sure he'd welcome this sort of feedback.petermcleland wrote:Just did my first flight in it.
External Model...Pretty and fairly accurate but not perfect.
Cockpit...Not a patch on Dave's for realism with many switches incorrectly named and odd fictitious bits...And no tailchute switch on the FGA9. The metal in the cockpit is a rather nasty shiny black.
Flight Model...Well I survived...but not a patch on Echo. The most disappointing was the roll which was very slow and had a most unpleasant roll/yaw couple. Also it was very hard not to get a high speed stall warning in a loop pull up and then the stick needed to go too far forward to unstall.
I quite liked the sound but the spool up from idle was quite a bit slower than the real thing.
Don't know what to do with it really

Chris, I think that basic modelling requirements, like studying the photographs of the cockpit layout in Pilot's Notes were not paid enough attention. I posted my first impressions here because an interest was expressed in hearing them (perhaps by you?). I'm really not going to go over there and start a war about an expensive payware model and as I dislike working on .air files and already have a super freeware Hunter by Dave G, I don't wish to get involved in making improvements. I purchased the product in case it was good and I posted my early findings here because this is the forum where I post! My motive in posting was quite simply to give friends here a "Heads Up" so that they might consider more carefully before spending their hard earned money.Chris H wrote:Would you be interested in posting this over at the Alphasim forums Peter?
