i got it yesterday. The re appearance of the glass textures in many of the old FS9 models is great, I didn't notice much of a performance improvement, but then I didn't expect too as I've everything working quite nicely. The prop texture issue is a real pain, but I'm reliably informed its an easy fix.
One of the main things I was looking forward to was the carrier ops. They seem to have done a decent job... (there is a carrier located just west of the golden gate bridge if your looking for one) but I can't get the FRADU Hunter to catch the wires... the F18 catches without problem. Maybe there need to be something added to the aircraft model, but it doesn't read that way in the SDK.
Mine isn't a clean install mate, and other than the documented issues with prop textures etc, its been fine. To be honnest though, I'd rather do a clean install, but I'll save that for the next time I have to rebuild.
Hmm, I read it had to be a clean install, maybe I will try a dirty one!! Another 25 quid on a sim that I still hate, am I being had by MS? Never mind done now
Got mine yesterday and am quite pleased with it. Been reading the SDK notes and it now seems that we can have supercharged, rather than turbocharged engines. Also, aircraft can carry now a tank of nitrous oxide to give them a bit of extra oomph . Spookily enough the Westland Welkin did some flights with a wopping great tank of NOX behind the pilot. Took him up to 47500 feet and increased the top speed to over 400 mph. :flying:
well this just makes me want to run right own and buy FSX
and then lests see........ download an update from MS
and then buy an update and then...................
I can't , I just can't
{hugs box FS9 came in]
I guess I'll stick with FS9 untill I know that all the chapters have been written
Ben, I am glad you have the glass back. I know some have to be the pioneers ,
My hats off to you and (you guys) for working through the thickets of FSX.
