As I set course for this long flight, here is a good view back at Helsinki Airport.

Well the approach was epic as I got behind a stream of military jets...So many that ATC actually lost me while vectoring me for a visual onto runway 34. They cancelled my flightplan and I map read back for the approach. Here I'm on finals...

My flightplan is successfully locked to my GPS today so I can concentrate on other things as we cross the watery terrain of Canada.

Ahhh Bliss!...looking ahead I can see that we are moving out of default scenery and into Holger Sandmann terrain, as we descend towards Portland. That is the Columbia River ahead.

A bit murky in places...

Touching down and noting that my mate is in already!
