Thanks for the positive feedback everyone, I really enjoyed doing that metal finish. All three have just been uploaded to the Pond.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks, Steve. That bare metal job is one of those cases where the skin sells the aeroplane, so to speak. Didn't really fancy the Valiant until now. :)

Unfortunately Paul.. the quality of the paints far exceed that of the model  Sure is nice to look at though :)

All we can hope for is that model makers see this kind of thing, and think, "hey, let's build a new model". It would be lovely to work on a new Valiant...myabe if there was enough interest I could persuade Paul Foster to build a new one (and a B.2 prototype for that lovely shiny black finish!).

I really wish I had the time to sit down and actually BUILD something for a change...I got into 3DS Max about 4 years ago and then dropped off it when it got too hard...I downloaded Gmax recently but just felt it too much time to get back into it again. Nevertheless, one of these days I will try again - but for now it's repainting as it's a da** sight quicker and easier!

Aye, I rather suspected that would be the case. ;-)

Wouldn't it be great if the all the CBFS gurus, testers, painters and researchers all collaborated to produce the definitive V-Bomber trilogy ( or quadrology if you include the Sperrin )? Given the wealth of talent here, it would be a global FS event ! :tonqe:

Now you're talking, Paul. V-bombers or otherwise, I think a collaboration on here would be an excellent idea. Perhaps the powers that be (if interested) could put something to that effect on motion, as I think the end results would be bl**dy impressive - kind of like a CBFS workshop or something.
