Ah.. I'm glad that report says 'One' of the worlds last surviving bombers and by this I take it they mean last surviving 'flying' bombers

Nice to see her flying again. I had the great privilege of spending a couple of hours in her some years ago while she was having an engine change. One of the ground crew gave me the full tour from nose to tail, then left me alone to explore. I couldn't bear to come out.

None of the reports that I saw specifically mentioned Air Atlantique's part in the restoration. So I say well done to all at AA for their work. DaveB will buy you all a pint.Sometimes my generosity just overwhelmes me. EricT

I live on the circuit for Coventry Airport. Seeing and hearing it after a while makes me tingle.

Eric..

Don't go giving my beer away.. unless it's to me

The AA participation is documented mate but lets not forget that this was a job. The work was put out to tender and AA got the contract. We know that they wouldn't put their own aircraft out looking shoddy and there's no way would a refurb for the BBMF be any less so

Hi Dave
What I meant was that none of the reports on TV which I saw seemed to mention that the work was 'outsourced'.I presume that the type or amount of work required could not be done by the BBMF team.Anyway it's grand to see her flying again.ATB EricT

Hi Eric,

It is that  I remember it getting a mention when it went into refit last year.. probably on the local news up in the Midlands as it made a change from hearing Boeings going into Coventry  Ultimately, the press aren't concerned with who did the work.. just that she's flying again
