Alan

9Q-GAB was at Southend and moved on

9U-BHP was destroyed by a stray fire work

Not much left at the end of that

This is one type I am never seen

Garry.
That was not the one i was thinking of,the one i thought you ment was C5-GAB that i did a repaint of, that i have on avsim,i must have missed the one you mentioned.
I have just put Esa`s six new YS-11 variants into my sim,and just gave them a basic texture set, just so i could see what they look like, once i have the proper paint scheme done, they should fill a gap for those that like the military versions, these are the EW variants,4 standard fuse,2 combi versions, but all come with APU,and radar lumps, and diferent aerials, and the windows will have to be altered for the different reg`s
the one`s modelled are 6901 to 6906.

Trev.
The ones i do know of that where used in europe, are the olympic as mentioned before, also the greek airforce used them, the others that where used outside of japan, are mainly in asia/africa/north and south america/hawaii/aleutian in alaska.
If you look on airliners.net and do a search under NAMC,you can get an idea of the different airlines that have used it,the latest airline that as started up in mexico with just one cargo version.

Any chance of smaller download sizes? We don't all have broadband! If this is the file I found on AVSIM, is showed over three hours ti download on ISDN! Maybe I picked a bad time, but I pity those on conventional dialup.

hi john.
Esa put together a complete package for this,so you did not need any previous ys-11 to use it,and comes with all the files you need, including manuals, but if you already have the ys-11 v2.7 in your system+manuals, then you only need the textures and updated model files.
What is the max size of zip file your email could take, before timeing out, then i could send the textures to you,and i could email esa for the updated model,as he was going to delete an antenna that ANA/ANK did not have.
Also i think AVSIM will have probs,as at this time it seems to be averaging 1 download every min of this file,so it will be going at a snails pace,i have a broadband connextion, and some files have taken way to long to down load from them of late.
Also this file is available on flightsim.com,if you wish to try there first.

Many thanks, Alan - I'm having a second try in the UK early hours and
the counter is currently suggesting 1 hr 33 minutes which sounds a little
less painful. (Mind you, it has said around 1 hr 33 m to go for at least
ten minutes!).

Email isn't really a good alternative for large files as the process of
emailing almost doubles file sizes temporarily - FTP is the best method and
if this current download goes adrift I'll give you a shout with some arrangements.

But if you don't hear further I've succeeded . . .

Thanks again,

John
