AFG YS-11v2.7 ANA/ANK repaints

Post by alan cottrill »

For those that are interested in this freeware aircraft,i have just finished doing the ANA/ANK repaints for the v2.7 version, three aircraft in all have been done,as ANA had some combi versions as well as pax ones,i have sent these to Esa for him to check out and package, ready for release to avsim.
He has also sent me six new variants of the YS-11 for painting, with diferent flight dynamics,so i am about to load these into my sim,to see what they are like.
regards alan.

Lovely stuff, I love this aircraft. Any chance of some obscure European paint jobs in the future. I find Japanese stuff does not really fit in with the areas I fly.

Who used it in Europe apart from Olympic?

I like this model too but can't use it as no matter what I try the engines fail half way through the take off run :dunno:

You're coming up to power too fast. Make sure you stabilize the engines around 12500 RPM and let the Torque Meters come off the posts to around 60 PSI before continuing up to full power. If you don't, you'll kill the engines. Also, watch your Temps and make sure that your Fuel Trim is set correctly. The YS-11 programming will bite you and shutdown engines on you if you don't set it up right.

Thanks Chris

OK with the fuel trim and temp for sure

I will have to look at the torque but I didn't think I was comming up too quick.......sounds a bit sensitive

Garry.
There was one that i saw on airliners.net,that i beleive was stored there,i think it was in gambia colours,i already have a repaint done for this on avsim, but dont know if that is the one your refering to though.
A few of these aircraft have had that happen to them, one i read about, was of two security guards on board one at night, they started smoking, and discarded a cig, which caused a fire, that totally distroyed the aircraft,i think that was somewhere in s/america.
