Quick question about alpha channels
A model I'm repainting appears to become transparent when I apply an alpha-channel. This is a bit of a pain as I'm trying to complete a high-gloss finish; is there any way to apply an Alpha that won't make the aircraft semi-visible?

I just wondered....yep as I said earlier transparent of grey but not both
Solid black would make is either invisible of chrome plated but that is determined by the model
All I can suggest is try and make a metal looking texture a bit dull and used...but I guess that is what you already have

This is Ito's, it's as close as I can get it to an F1. I got rid of that inky bluish hue by reducing the saturation.Chris H wrote:No matter how much you dress it up it still screams Ito unfortunately so I can live without it for the time being. Repainting it was enjoyable anyway.

I only have integrated graphics but it seems to come up shiny enough.
