Does anyone here, when in an established cruise en route, use 'virtual pnl'?
If so, at what 'magnification' do you fly, or does that depend on the particular aircrtaft being flown?
Recently while flying the default DC3 during the 'cruise' in virtual pnl mode using Norman Hancock's new panel with the air file version RR4 I have been experimenting with a 'magnification' of 0.45. The new aircraft cfg gives a different pilot's eyepoint posn enabling one, in virtual pnl mode, to look out over one's left shoulder and see the countryside below the port wingtip and trailing edge. One does feel as though one is seated in the aircraft.
Those who use IR specs probably have the best viewpoint but I have decided not to purchase that piece of equipment.
I should be interested to hear of other FS pilots experiences.
yeah one tap of the minus key, i often use the hat switch to move lower. The F1 c172 has the best default view so i often edit the panel config to match the angle.
