Viscount 800 mdl

Post by steveuk »

Hi

I downloaded a new mdl file for the Viscount 800 model sometime ago...it had steerable nose gear, open doors, airstairs etc...I've found the updated 700 and 700D mdls but can't seem find the 800.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve

There is an Alidair by Tony Madge at Flightsim.com that contains that model

hmmm...I'm not 100% sure whether this is same model file that I had previously.....The one I used to have the noswheel would turn whilst taxiing just using the joystick rather than using the rudder keys, like the 748 does.

However it could just be me cracking up

Hi Steve

I've never had to use rudder "keys"

All the ones I've ever had the nosewheel turns with twisting the stick..that is rudder command, it's always rudder command.

Fraser's latest panels have a nosewheel steering tiller that can be mouse operated.

Garry, on your viscount 800 do both the front and rear doors open at shutdown? I've seen this in screenshots, but on my model only the front doors open.

Hi Steve

The openiong door model is the one that is in the Tony Madge pack above.

That has different night textures so earlier paints will show transparent alphas at night.

It would be better if you kept the early paints with the old model and the newer ones in a seperate folder with those later paints.

The later paints are transparent at night with the earlier model

Thanks, but how do I get the rear door to open? I've seen that it does....but on mine it doesn't? The model in the Alidair file only has the front door opening and not the rear one opening too like everyone else has got.

There was a Luxair paint that contained a model that only the front door opened

I thought that Alidair had both the doors opening :dunno:
