Must have been brought up before but i cant find it

Post by domvc10 »

Hi

I was wondering now don't shoot me!! I was just searching these forums to find out if anyone is creating a virtual cockpit for the vc-10?? The only one i know of is the abacus payware and i don't fancy paying money for that one! especially the amount they're asking.

Is there one in development?

Thanks

Dom

ps i did search these forums several times but found nothing about this

Hi Dom.and welcome to the forums

Only Dave Maltby can make a VC for the VC 10 as it is a part of the model and can't be added on as such.

As far as I am aware there is not one on the go.

That is probably why you can't find anything about it.

I might add to Garry's correct comment, that you shouldn't be to eagerly exited about it, as I don't think there will be any one...not for the next decade or so.... just so you know.

PS.
(Don't mind me I only fly 2D  )

PPS.
Let it be the first and the last time you mentioned that "copycat" again :-#

Also

If it were available it would be on his site of in the announcements here and the shouts would be very loud....couldn't miss it.

So there's your answer.....nope

I'm only 2D as well :-#

I don't think that any amount of money would change anything whether or not David would consider a VC for the VC10.

David does his thing out of passion and dedication for his work. And that shines through all of his work. You couldn't make such work if it was just for the finances. either you want to do it, and then do it properly, or you don't.

And that could easily be said about any of our resident developers and/or painters around here. A very dedicated lot, that aren't subject to bribe....(I prefer to think  )

That said, I'm sure a coin or two in the hat wouldn't hurt.

I hope you will enjoy your flying with the VC10 as much as I do. Even with a 2D panel

Maybe we need to try some reverse psychology.............

"I'm really not sure how well a VC for the '10 would be if DM were to try and attempt one, it'd probably look a bit on the shabby side"

Then one week later, DM would turn up with an update announcement "Ha! Who said I'd make a shabby VC, take a look at this little beauty"

Replies would be something like "Well blow me down with a feather, you've done us proud, tks DM"

:worried:

Would that work Jetty ?

John

Can't even use the "bet he doesn't know how to make a VC" suggestion

Sorry, reverse psychology is too obvious. Sideways psychology may have worked, but whatever - I'm on to it now.

My current thinking is that I'll not be making any FSX stuff. The gain (?) isn't worth the pain.
And if the road ends with FS9, is it really worth investing any more time in it now? :dunno:

Well, it's May now & I've still not decided on that.
Could be that I retired back in December and didn't even know about it.

Anyway, what's wrong with this payware VC10?
Flightsim.com said it was top notch.
You're not going to tell me that their reviews are utter sh1t, and the reviewer has zero credibility - Are you?

There is only one true master of the VC10 and it is'nt payware. i was totally taken with the master's work when i first came to flightsim and it still has it's draw even today. alas i only fly the Comet and BAC.
well fs9 will be going for me for sometime to come. if it ain't broke why fix it. ( just my thoughts on fs9 ).
