This must have been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it around so for any newbies here's some good reading:

I spend most of this morning reading through some of the interesting pages here....

FS has certainly come a long way since the early days... please remember that FSX is just one more step up the ladder of the FS history.

Some steps have been proven to better than others, but it is still on its way up in my opinion.

It always makes me feel a bit humble when I read such development stories, not only this software we all love and hate, but also reading about the old aviation pioneers, and their struggles, and thinking of what they would have said if they could have seen what all their struggles had come to today...

Well read for your-self and enjoy it, certainly a site to pull out of the favorites every once in a while.

PS. Do not cheat yourself from downloading that rather big wmv "FS History video" (120 Mb) halfway down the Introduction-Tab it is definitely worth the effort.

A very good read and well worth the video download.

It's so easy to take this hobby for grated and demand perfection.

This shows how it was at the beginning and just how far it has come

What a wonderful site, many thanks for posting the link.

Incredible when you look back to see how far FS has actually come since its humble inception.

Now the only trouble is...........we all know how much the guys here yearn for the old and classic aircraft of years gone by. Just hope that you have not given them the "I want one" phase to see what they have missed!! That will surely send the 2 Daves', Rick, Derek et all running for cover!!

Yes it is a good site, unfortunately it hasn't been updated since may2005. so it might be a part of the FS history it self. But we can enjoy it as long as it is there.
