How much difference, in practical terms, was there between the Colossus and Majestic Class carriers?
The recent postings from Rich, with his 'relocation' of Ark Royal V, and associated escorts, to the Philippines, has got me thinking of the possibilities. So I'm experimenting with moving this later Ark (still at the banging head against wall stage, but it's beginning to look promising) and I've noticed that I'm not alone.
The point is, there is a decent FS2002/4 version of R95 Arromanches (circa 1954) on Joel Maillot's site, which could conceivably double for any other Colossus class pre-refit. If I can work out how to move it I'll have an HMS Glory available for Korean aircraft and a nice HMS Ocean for the Alphasim (or whoever) Seahawk when it arrives. Could this pass for an early Majestic class as well?
And then, of course, there is a reasonable model of HMAS Melbourne in the lovely Razbam Skyhawk Pt 2 package. If this can pass for a later Colossus, we have an ideal base for Argentinian and Brazilian naval ops, and a place for all the Indian Navy repaints that will undoubtedly follow the release of the afore mentioned Seahawk.

A question about aircraft carriers.

AndyG, I have looked at every carrier availiable and the only ones that can be moved using the xml thing is Ark 4and five plus the USS Stennis which is what I used before Ark 4 was released, none of the others are GMAX, FSDS or the thing used by the Ark 4 team all the others are the old SCASM or whatever that cannot be decompiled by the latest tools.
