Freezing Fog at O'Hare

Post by speedbird591 »

I've been flying some dawn circuits at KORD in my favourite pocket-rockets: DM's One-eleven and the Kittyhawk 732. I thought I'd post a few shots.

Freezing fog and light snow flurries made it more interesting. Visibility was 3/4 mile in the fog but clear above it. You can see the top of the Hancock tower just breaking through the fog in the first picture.

Nice looking panel on that 732 Ian. Good job we don't have any in the VA or I might be tempted to fly one

Nice shots, Ian.

Looks like the tinmouse panel on the 732.
Great panel, but problematic unless you have a licensed copy of FSUIPC.

Yes, it's the Tinmouse II, Kevin, and I agree that without a registered copy of FSUIPC the flap operation is annoying. But as I love using the panel so much, I forced myself to get drunk and bought a licence while under the influence! I'm glad I did because to have fully operational flaps and alternative flap operation as well just makes it for me. But it sort of blurs the line between freeware and payware a bit - so you'd have to have a drink first

Thanks for your comments guys. I honestly don't know which of the two aircraft I prefer to fly, but as I can fly both it doesn't matter
