Of all the aircraft that squaddie chose to get close to.. he had to choose that monster!! :lol: Couldn't hear any swearing over the wind noise and had I been on the end of the camera/phone.. you certainly would have!! :lol:

Why must it be a spoof?

It's happened a few times including a BOAC engineer who was sucked into I think a 707. Lost fingers and was in a bad way for a while but survived.

Perhaps the relatively small apertures then helped

That must be a spoof!
Very genuine and very well known.

The guy survived because his helmet came of and jammed in the blades on the engine. If I recall correctly, it pretty much destroyed the engine. Apparently he was within a "red" zone and stood up when he shouldn't have. His comments on a chat show? "i knew I shouldn't have been standing up right at the moment it happened...."

the video is used in Navy safety training I believe.
