Trev,

That's AWESOME, to use an Americanism. I can hardly wait for the package to be released. Please don't apologise for the sound track, it's just part of the ship to anyone who saw the 'Sailor' series all those years ago.

I have an FS vid, flying an F-4K, reproducing the opening shots and i ALWAYS play the music in the background.

In passing the opening shot is back to front. In the TV series the opening low pass is from the Ark's 2 o'clock rather than 10 o'clock but that's being over pedantic. The whole thing looks just magnificent.

And if we hadn't scrapped her I bet we wouldn't be remembering the 25th Anniversary of the Falklands War this year....
Regards
Kit

Great video. Looking forward to the release.

I may be wrong (quite likely) but in the original TV series wasn't the music for that sequence, "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd. I believe that for some reason this was changed in the DVD release.

"Sailing" was the title music for the series.

I've never seen the DVD only the TV series and that was the music I remember.

For the opening sequence it was "I am sailing" by Rod Stewart who also wrote it.

The sequence with Pink Floyd which is one of the best scenes in the entire series was where the "bombheads" were bringing fusing bombs and again up on deck loading up the buccs.

I was on board at the time Sailor was made and remember it as it it was yesterday althoug long ago now.

As for the Ark's release, it will be soon, I have had some real life issues I've had to deal with so it has been a little delayed, but I'm sure your'll like her once she's released.

Family & real life come first Seaking.

I am quite sure we can all wait until the time is right.

Hope your problems are not too great fot you to resolve satisfactorily.

Thanks Seaking. I was nearly right  I do remember it being the most atmospheric scene in the series.

Looking forward to the release as and when. As Filonian says, family and real life come first.

Hi,

Great video and also looking forward to the release.

As for the TNG's, were they actually flown or are they AI ? Can you make an AI plane stop on the carrier and if so how ?

I use Rob Barendregts catapult & arrestor system but can't see how that could be configured in an AI plane.

Degsy
