Viscount and Argosy Refuel

Post by stegs »

What is the best way to refuel these two aircraft if you have them on the end of the runway with 100% tanks when you open flightsim?
Doing a standard refuel on the Viscount even after the usual opening and shutting of valves as recommended just seems to result in a total engine shutdown. The Argosy seems to shutdown it's outer engines.
Is there no way of using the standard refuel now and you have to use manual refuel?

Steve.

Hi Steve,

I've not flown the Argosy under 6.8b but on previous versions.. it would shutdown the outer two engines should the fuel level be low enough. I don't find this too much of a hassle (didn't find this too much of a hassle) as it's pretty quick to get the outers started again. If you're having probs getting the outers started, I'll post a screenie of the correct switches to have open/shut  This will require a manual start of the outers but once done.. it will be ok for your remaining flights in that session

I set the required load in flightsim and hit the compare button which works for me.

thanks guys. Using compare seems to be the way to do it. I wasn't sure how that worked until I realised you just put in what you want in flightsim and off you go.

Doh!

Hi,

One thing to remember with 'compare', if you load less fuel in Flight Sim than is already on the aircraft then you've effectively dumped fuel and won't get it back.
