Hi all,
Have just booked a f;ight on FlyNet in the Budgie, EGKK-EGBE, and when ithe client asks me to put fuel in, I get an error saying 'Too much fuel for aircraft.' Im only trying to put 5755lbs in, so I dont think Im taking her overweight?
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers
Rich

Hi Rich,
The Budgie reports being 4kg overweight with the tanks full but I can't see that being your problem  I've had to work it out in KG as this is what I always use but 5755lbs only equates to 2612.77kg and the tanks will hold 5256kg (11563.2lbs) full
Seems obvious but make sure you are hitting the LBS radio button on the refuel section as leaving it at the default (KG) will definately have you going over the top. The actual weight of the aircraft should make no difference to FlyNET at all as you can in theory have the a/c empty.. despite the loadsheet saying something else

Hi Rich,
The client seems to prefer working in kgs for some reason. The figure that will be shown in the refuel box will always be the kgs amount extracted from the database regardless of whether you have lbs/kgs selected from your last flight. Try refuelling with the lbs amount again and see if it will take. If it still reports an overfuel amount try loading your fuel requirement converted to kgs and see if that works. I personally always use kgs as that's what I've always been used to using around aircraft in RL and have never had a refuel problem. Try this for your next few flights and see if it is a consistant bug, in which case we'll report it as such at FlyNET.
Rgds

Ah, got the problem sorted.
Its been a while since I flew on FlyNet, so I had a squint at the instructions posted here. I was under the impression, having read them, that I had to refuel BEFORE I had selected 'FLY NOW' in FS9, not after. Hence, I was trying to fuel the plane before going into the sim, which is why it wouldnt work!
I had RTFM several times, but obviously had misunderstood the instructions. The little light bulb came on about 5mins after I woke up this morning, the flight is now complete and I will be booking a return down to Gatwick sharpish
