Super VC10 Update

Post by MALTBY D »

Just to let any VC10 pilots know that I've put out an update for the Super VC10.
Not the Standard, just the Super.
http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk

Addresses a few minor issues with accuracy on the exterior 3D model.
The civil airliner panel has also been updated.
Nothing major, upped the resolution of the main panel a bit so the text is a little clearer (to those with good eyes anyway  ).
Colour balanced it a bit better & generally brightened it up a bit.
Also fixes the sloppy altitude hold on the auto pilot.
And a few more regies available for those that like to fly the actual one with the va. ASGA, B, C, F, G, K.

Flight dynamics are the same, except the engines now spool up to full power a lot quicker.

Please take a copy of your original models if you decide to try the update.
If you do overwrite & want to go back, the old files are still on the webserver so just let me know & I can give a link here.

If it's all ok with the Super, I'll update the Standard in the near future.

Just a small nag.....I think it would be appropriate to let the atc_heavy=1 be 0 instead......?

In my world the only heavies are Triple sevens, 747's, 767's, 757's, DC10's and MD11's and the like.....the VC10 is kind of a medium I think..

Just a thought, as I change them myself after all ;-)

VC 10 is heavier than a 757

I would think the VC 10 was a heavy

Yes I know...but still....It don't sound right when the ATC calls you with the "heavy" extension.....might just be me...

Tonks: Do they call you heavy?....(the ATC not your wife...;-)

Well...er...yes sort off ;-)

I think I'll stick to the "non-heavy" then...

Very diplomatic answer by the way..."you are all correct"...;-)

I was assuring that Mrs. T didn't call you heavy...;-)

I wouldn't dare to backtalk your wife....I know wives....!
