How do I get to Glasgow...in a VC15...
I would be pleased to inaugurate the Glasgow-JFK route, but unfortunately there is currently no way of getting to Glasgow from EGLL by VC15/VC10
I can go to Manchester or Prestwick, but not Glasgow.

Ha ha, No thanks, I want to do it the "proper" way.
I also want to fill some of the empty spaces we still have here and there.
Just filled the EGLL - OKBK last month, so I stumbled over Glasgow.
I'm not sure if it were a direct London-Glasgow, or the were stops in eg. Manchester or Prestwick, as I do not have the 73 schedule at present. But John has it, and I bet he'll come around to it in due time ;-)

Hm...after a closer study of the routes I shipped to John in May, none of them are Glasgow - JFK....
It must have been introduced at a later time...maybe Ben or Joe can shed some light on that route?
As a matter of fact: there seems to be NO WAY of getting a VC10 or 15 to Glasgow at all!
Only one flight FROM EGPF and that is to KJFK, none TO EGPF

Dan,
Glasgow's runway wasn't extended to cope with larger jets until 1973, and the transatlantic monopoly stayed at Prestwick until 1990. More info here
