HS 748 PROP ARC/GEAR DOOR PROBLEM
Posted: Mon Oct 30, 2006 17:38 Post subject: HS748 Problem
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just got the HS748, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have some questions, I love the view looking out captains window back over the nacelle and wing, I get a squared of/octagon prop arc outline instaed of a smooth circle. On that same view I also have no main gear or gear doors, looks like gear doors are missing. 3rd, I fly it for hors and all of a sudden I get a out of memory error and FS9 shuts down, only happens on the HS748,
On the prop arc and gear, could I be missing any files?
I am running 32 bit
This was my orginal post, as it drew some comments on everything else and a removed post by someone I thought a new thread might shed some help;[img] http://members.aol.com/greenl3vf/748

As i said in the other thread
If it's gone it was not me that removed it.
it's still there where it was http://cbfsim.org/cbfsimv5/cbfsbb/viewtopic.php?t=7833
You cannot see the propellers or nacells from the cockpit on a real 748.
not even with your face pressed against the glareshield.
so why bother modelling it ????.
you cannot get the view you show without moving the eyepoint to an unrealistic position.
Read the Readfirst.txt Like i have now asked 3 times and you will see why i didn't model all the parts that you can't see.

Hi Garry
I'm just confused.
The readfirst.txt states why i did not make the virtual cabin available very clearly.
I can't please everyone
i have flown the 748 looking at my FS9 logbook for 133.6 hours with not one FS lockup & we beta tested it for 5 months solid too (8 testers).
Dave B & one other have the lockup problem (goflight controls).
& two others have a blurring scenery problem with the 780 model. (looking into this one).
pretty good for 30,000 downloads + i think

Hi Rick
Well mate.....you can't please everyone but there are a hell of a lot of people out there that are thrill beyond belief with this and other projects of yours.
Read me files are just that, but the don't seem to apply to everyone
I was certainly puzzled as tho why the wing views didn't come out right as as far as I knew there wasn't any and you did explain about the virtual cabin many times.
I have never had a lock up on the 748 either nor for that matter and engine die on me because I followed the instructions.....the mad fool I am.
There may be the odd system setup confilicts....but you can do nothing about that.

Well I just reinstalled the 748, and I cannot get that view of the engine from the VC. Looking out the left window, I can't see wing or engine or prop - just like Rick says.
So 918V, what are you doing to be able to see the prop?
It would seem something extra to the model as supplied by Rick, perhaps.
