The fuel was HOW MUCH?!?!?!
Okay, a bit over-the-top on the subject, but I must apologize for costing the company a couple hundred thousand on my return flight from Amsterdam to Manchester. Apparently the fuel rates have adjusted again and the price went way up from the last time I was in there and it cost quite a bit more for me to put 8000kg on the bird than I'd planned. Kinda sucks too because I actually made good time back to Manchester for once. I usually get nailed by high winds and use most of that extra 3000kg of fuel that I put aboard.

Yo Chris..
Tks for bringing the price changes to our attention. I've been watching recently and there does seem to be a bit of disparity from airport to airport. Manchester for example is probably one of if not THE cheapest airport I've fuelled up at and I'm not quite sure why OR why it's cheaper than LHR
EAL used to run their flights from Stansted to Geneva with the bare minimum of gas so that they could take advantage of the cheap fuel there but it is (was) currently running at v$1.62 per ltr and compare that with Manch which was at v$1.12.. it hardly seems right.
Anyway.. I suppose we'd better take a good look before we takeoff on the outbound now just in case a bit extra is required beforehand. Have the ticket prices gone up accordingly Chris??
