What feet per minute are you getting on FlyNet when landing the Trident 2?
I line Myself up on the ILS and when I start to drop I take the speed down to the VAT speed that it say's on the gauge, then when I am at a 1000ft I click on auto land, when I get to the thresh hold I am doing that speed that the VAT gauge say's and I have full flaps down. It all seems to be a perfect landing when I look at FlyNet I've done a -200ft too -250ft per minute. Is this right?.
It does seem to be airport dependant. I get anywhere from 0 - 250/300 on autoland. Some airports the autoland gives you a little bounce which gives 2 'dings' on the FlyNET client and gives you <30fpm.
Looking at the Fleet Stats, it's normal for the Tridents to lose -0.2% or -0.3% per flight.
-0.5 is a bit much, but nothing to worry about.
I'm not sure how much of it is down to landing rate. It shouldn't be as important as it appears to be on FlyNet.
You could try a couple of things & see if it helps...
The auto land may do better if you engage it 500ft earlier, 1000ft is a bit too close to the runway & could affect the angles it calculates.
And if there's a decent wind, land a bit faster. Add 1/3 of the windspeed to Vat. Landing slow it's more likely to fail to respond enough to the flare & may land harder.
