I was just thinking the other day while searching for a cheap FSX that will FSX ever actually be compatible with FlyNET. :think:
If so will it work with the missions or something along the lines of that.
If not im not to dissapointed as im not leaving FlyNET if it dosne't. I'll just carry on with FS2004.

I am saying that FlyNET will be updated to work with FSX. Konny had mentioned that he was looking at what SimConnect offered (this is something that ACES and Peter Dawson, FSUIPC's owner put together to be "native" to FSX) and may go that way for FSX. There was NO indication that FS9 support would be dropped.
I would say that whether FlyNET will be compatible with FSX or FS9 isn't an issue.
The database on which FlyNET isn't directly dependent on the FS-version, but the client is.
I'm aware that some properties might be different the two FS-versions in-between, but that should be a small matter of converting data.
The real issue is the way the client interact with FS, and there is the big difference. The FS9 client is based on FSUIPC, and the FSX-client will be (I think) based on the new SimConnect utility.
So I all boils down to having the right client for the right FS.... at least that is if Konny is willing to support different client versions.

Dan, the only difference from FS9 to FSX for Konny is whether to continue with FSUIPC or make the FSX version use SimConnect. Peter Dawson has already said that FSUIPC will continue to be produced and supported, only now instead of having to get most of the data on its own, it will only have to use what SimConnect is already providing, thus simplifying the program somewhat. Konny had indicated he wanted to do SimConnect for FSX only because the calls he makes for data and control should be supported by SimConnect and it would further simplify installation for new pilots whose first addon is FlyNET.
