I wonder if a museum will pick this one up? I hope so as I can’t think of any RAF 748’s that have been preserved (…waits hopefully for deluge of posts starting ‘Actually there’s a 748 at……’).
Maybe I should buy it and use it as somewhere to live; I wouldn’t mind betting it’s cheaper than houses are the moment!!!
Hmmm, Looks rather nice. love the jargon - buy yr own 'Non effective' 748
Ther must be a number dotted about. The only one I have seen is a white Andover parked up at Lanceria nr Jo'burg a couple of yrs ago. That too looked a little non effective..sadly.
Well I'm glad I've got a fair bit of cam-corder footage of it, which I shot at Boscombe, on a few occasions.
I've also got some of XS790...ahh, remember that one? (even though they did ruin it with lumps 'n' bumps!) And I've got the C.1s. I'll have to find a way of uploading it, to share it all.
'790 and '750 sounded different in terms of prop noise, although I think the prop diameter was the same, but '750 had rounded tips, would it have been that which would make a different note?
