Hi all,
Sorry to create a thread on such a trivial subject but I'm curious to know whats happening to our petrol prices.
Just been to fill up and its come down again!
Now at our local Morrisons its been reduced to 87.9p per litre.
I know for members in other countries, that may seem expensive, but for the UK its actually rather cheap at the moment.
Anyone else noticed the prices coming down?
Labour having a guilty conscience or something??!

It would appear the supermarkets are having a bit of a price war.
I filled up at 87.9 on the way home this evening at Sainsburys and the ASDA not far away was at the same.
It was over 90p the other day at a nearby Total.

The supermarkets vowed to keep out of any price war saying they'd go with the rest. I noticed a few weeks ago that Tesco were charging 99.9p per litre (made me feel sick as I diverted to fill the car up there!!) and the Total garage a mile or two down the road from Duxford was around 96.9  Been stopping there to top the bike up for years and it's NEVER been cheaper than ANYONE so this was a shock to say the least.
I'm not sure if the supermarkets noticed a marked drop in sales but it didn't take them long to start dropping the prices again!!
Not seen anything as low as 87.9 round here!

The Shell garages in Southampton always seemed to undercut the supermarkets when I lived down there, which was against the norm.
Nice to fill up the car for a reasonable price again... 87.9 seems the norm around here.

A couple of months ago when I was at home I ended up paying 102.9p / l at one place, 44 quid for just under 43 litres!!
Over here (Bahrain), that would have cost me 6.45gbp. (& you don't even have to get out the car & do it yourself)
