1-11 Fuselage at EGNJ

Post by RAF_Quantum »

There is a 1-11 fuselage on the fire training ground at Humberside airport. Speaking to the firemen there it's got seats in and all the gauges are still in the cockpit. I'm going to see if I can get permission for a visit onboard sometime and take some pics. Luckily they don't use it for fire fighting - just rescue training.

Out of interest which machine is it John? I can't find any reference regarding a 1-11 at Humberside in the latest edition of Wreck and Relics.

Could be a number

They are or just have scrapping one at Southend.

The one that the engines were run on back in the spring.

But I have no idea

John may come up with it

G-OBWD was the one scrapped at Southend that was still run-able. Ex-G-BDAE with DAN Air.
