Aeroventure Sim day
On 3rd September it is the annual flight sim event at the Aeroventure museum in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
This year we hope to have the best show yet with several stall holders including addon developers and VA's*.
This is alongside cockpit setups made by our own members including the ever popular DC-3, with a real DC-3 panel and seats it is always a hit.
Hopefully there is something for all the family to enjoy with several cockpits open to the public for children and the 'big kids' among us to see.
The museum also has some real world sims including the link and two jetstreams, a procedure trainer and an ex-RAF sim.
A range of cakes and hot or cold drinks are available from our shop.
If you wish to exhibit your freeware/payware/VA then please don't hesitate to get in touch and we will try to fit you in.
Weather permitting there will be a Lancaster flypast at 15.20

As you've got her nose section there already,
you have my permission to use this photo of WJ565 in your displays if you wish...

Taken in Autumn 1980, as her last major overhaul was nearing completion at St Athan.

Ps Nazca Steve has this repaint that I did of Bill Holker's T17 model;
if he's put it up on his site yet...

Apologies Pete, will try to get it on the site this week. Poor old T.17, it's been a bit overlooked of late. Does anyone have more pics of varying schemes so we can do a bit more for it? I was planning on doing an earlier camo scheme with the old roundels and black nose tip.

S'ok Steve; the sole operator of the T17 was 360 Sqn, there was going to be a far east deployed 361 Sqn, but it was disbanded before being officially formed, although its' crews did work up on 360's T17's.nazca_steve wrote:Apologies Pete, will try to get it on the site this week. Anyhow aside from the scheme you've mentioned, the only other one I've seen of a T17 is all over silver paint, type 1 (red/white/blue) roundels, and the nose antenna covers in black.

Cheers for the patience Pete, and don't brain me here, but could you resend the zip again? It seems to have got misplaced when I did some 'tidying up' the other day! Arrrgh! This time I WILL get it uploaded, as we are looking a tad empty on the T.17 front.
Don't suppose you have any pics of this silver scheme by chance? The only other one I have is a camo bird with the old style roundels the aforementioned black nose cone tip. Ta very much like,
Steve
